This save game [user mode] exploit you’re about to watch is as real as it gets… I’ve been fortunate enough to try a few different exploits and I can tell you they’re no doubt legit. None however, as far as I know, have led to kernel mode access, which means no chance for custom firmware or downgrading — not yet anyway.
There you have it; another save game exploit courtesy of maku. The game demo remains unknown [to me] at this time. Feel free to speculate unless you have firm evidence to back your claim up.
Now that’s all fine and dandy, but really, what I am wondering is: what’s taking Sony so long? Look at pspjoke’s save game exploit for example; he said he’d release said exploit once Sony patches it. Well it’s been ~ 6 weeks now and still no patch. That sure wasn’t the case with this one. Sony patched it almost immediately with the release of 6.20. So now you have to wonder, what’s Sony up to? Are they prepping for a bigger and better update that’ll not only patch these holes but also add some much-needed awesomeness to the handheld? Perhaps… Anyway, whatever the case, take this post as a reminder: do not upgrade should Sony issue a new firmware update anytime soon. Stay at 6.20 or earlier if you can, unless of course you don’t care to hack your PSP
