There's a new virus calling itself a vista security thing or something like that. It automatically downloads itself and runs processes over and over telling you it's scanning for viruses. I recently got it without downloading anything and it's very annoying. This new virus is a branch off of a different virus that did the exact same thing, but under a different name. I know how to remove viruses myself (which is why I have no anti virus programs). If you come across this new virus, or just want to know for future reference, here is how to get rid of it.
This program constantly runs a process (you can get to your processes by going into task manager and tabbing over to process) that opens up a window saying it's scanning for viruses. It will always find some. The process name is AVE.exe (AVE might be lowercase).
Once the process opens up end the process. If the process isn't open skip this step.
Now go to C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local <--- Where XXXX is, that is your account name. In the folder menu, at the top of a folder click tools. Now go to Folder Options and go to the view tab.
Uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files" and click yes or w/e you need to click to accept it. Now close out of it and you should be back in the Local folder. Now somewhere in that folder you should see AVE.exe. Delete it and empty it out of your recycle bin so it's completely gone from your computer.
